Education

Bachelors in Education and Sociology, graduated 2010 Magna cum Luade Currently in my second year of graduate school at Angelo State getting my Masters in Counseling Psychology with a GPA of 3.9.

Experience

I have experience in teaching elementary, middle school, and high school students. My undergraduate studies were in this field so I have completed courses on different strategies for working with students individual needs. I also have experience with my psychology background in working with students with special needs such as ADHD or ADD. I graduated in the top 10% of my undergraduate class and have maintained a 3.9 GPA throughout my undergraduate and graduate schooling. I am currently a member of Psi Chi, which is a national honor society for psychology. I enjoy working with children and teens, especially on a one-on-one basis where large strides can be made in their abilities. I have two children of my own, one in elementary and one in middle school and have, of course, tutored them through many years of schooling. I have extensive work and volunteer experience, where I have met and exceeded goals put forth by me employers. I have worked as a graduate assistant at ASU for the past academic year and have obtained a coveted teaching assistant position starting in the fall so I am well-aware of the expectations that college students need to meet in order to be successful.

Hobbies

I love to read, pretty much anything but I especially enjoy biographies and psychological research journals. I love my "brain candy" as well such as novels! Hunger Games was one of my favorites. I enjoy spending time with my children and my husband. I am a proud Air Force wife and my husband has been in the military for 16 years. I also love to cook and bake for friends and family. I enjoy crafts and decorating as well.
